The role
Staff Engineer role for a networking software company (Extreme Networks) focused on routing protocol development across multicast/unicast and L2/L3 OSI protocols. You’ll work with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s, K3s), Helm charts, and microservices architecture, using C or Golang on Linux with data structures, IPC mechanisms, and multi-threading/routines; you should also know L2/L3 protocols such as LACP, LAGs, BGP, BFD, EVPN, MPLS/VPLS, ARP, and L2 switching, plus Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Git, and OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC. Location is Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (work mode not stated).

Exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle . Proficiency in L2/L3 OSI layer Protocols - LACP ; LAGs; BGP ; BFD; EVPN; MPLS/VPLS; ARP; and L2 switching; L3 Routing. Micro services-based Architecture, working experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes (K8s, K3s) cluster, Helm charts Strong coding and debugging experience using C OR Golang Linux OS, Data structures, IPC mechanisms. Understanding of multi-threading/routines. Agile Development Model with CI/CD, Jenkins pipeline and working knowledge of Git environment. Working knowledge of OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC Good Written/Verbal Communication Skills
Qualifications
B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent in CS/EEE/ECE with at least 8 -12 years of relevant experience
