Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems.

Drive cross-team technical initiatives.

Own critical backend services powering millions of users.

Influence engineering standards and technical direction.

Mentor senior and mid-level engineers.

Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.

Optimise systems for latency, throughput, and reliability.

Review and approve architectural proposals across teams.

Set backend best practices and engineering standards.

Lead major cross-functional projects.

Drive the technical roadmap and long-term architecture vision.

Own mission-critical backend services (real-time dispatch, payments, pricing, etc. )

Improve system observability and operational excellence.

Lead incident response and root-cause analysis.

Mentor senior engineers.

Raise code quality and system thinking across the org.

Participate in hiring and technical interviews.

Requirements:

8-12+ years of backend engineering experience.

Deep expertise in distributed systems.

Proven experience designing systems at scale (millions+ QPS).

Strong knowledge of: Concurrency, Networking, Data modelling, System performance tuning.

Experience leading large technical initiatives.

Technical Stack:

Languages: Go, Java, Python.

Infrastructure: KUbernetes, Docker.
