Responsibilities:

Design and own core systems across finance, resource management, and operations, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and adaptable to diverse organisational workflows.

Provide technical leadership across the product lifecycle, influencing architecture, technology choices, and engineering standards while balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.

Translate complex business and executive requirements into robust technical designs, partnering closely with product, finance, and operations stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.

Lead the adoption of modern tech stacks and AI capabilities, evaluating tools, frameworks, and patterns to drive automation, insights, and better decision-making.

Build and champion high-quality engineering practices, with strong emphasis on performance, data integrity, security, observability, and operational excellence.

Enable executive visibility and outcomes by designing reliable APIs, tools and services that support timely, data-driven decisions, proactive risk management, and effective resource allocation.

Mentor and elevate the engineering team, setting a high bar through code reviews, design discussions, and guidance on best practices for maintainability and scalability.

Requirements:

7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Strong proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem (Hooks, Context API, React Router, etc. ).

Experience with state management libraries (Redux, etc. ).

Knowledge of TypeScript for better type safety and scalability.

Understanding of modern UI/UX principles and component-driven development.

Strong experience with Node.js, Express.js, or NextJS for building APIs.

Proficiency in RESTful APIs and GraphQL development.

Knowledge of authentication and authorisation (JWT, OAuth, OpenID).

Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, JUnit).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with event-driven architectures (AWS SNS/SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Experience with serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Firebase Functions).

Experience with AI/ML integration in web applications.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training or work experience.
