Join the Play Games team to build and lead the team responsible for reimagining what a dedicated gaming destination could be. We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on lead to build the team responsible for the ground-up redesign of the Play Games app.
You will work across the broader games org to pull together games, content, streaks, stats, achievements, social gaming, and brand-new AI-driven innovations. The new Play Games App will be a compelling home for our gamers across mobile, tablet, TV, and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Build, support, and grow a high-performing team. You will be responsible for hiring, performance management, and career development of your team.
Own the long-term technical vision and strategy for the Play Games app, ensuring close alignment with product leads.
Pioneer and support AI-driven development to simplify existing systems, ship features with high velocity, and unlock new experiences.
Help convert an app with 500M+ user footprint into a regular destination for all gaming needs.
Set the architectural standards by actively participating in design reviews, mentoring engineers on complex, multi-team dependencies, and growing a strong bench of leads within the team.
