Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will support and enhance tools, services, and platforms that improve the developer experience while strengthening security, automation, and operational excellence across NetApp. You will work closely with global teams to implement DevSecOps best practices, develop scalable solutions, manage incidents, and contribute to secure and efficient software delivery processes.

Job Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience in software development, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related areas.Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Go, and working knowledge of C/C++.Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.Knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems and administration.Experience with containerization technologies and microservices architecture.Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile development methodologies.Experience with Helm, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.Working knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or CouchDB.Understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and security best practices.Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment and collaborate across multiple time zones.Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and solving complex technical challenges.

Education

A minimum of 3+ years of experience is required.  3 to 5 years of experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, a master’s degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required
