Meet The Team

The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.

Your Impact

As a Full-Stack Wireless Software Engineer, you will contribute to building and validating wireless features across the stack—from access points to controllers and management systems. This is a full development and test role, where you will own features from implementation through validation and automation.

In This Role

Develop and integrate wireless features across AP, controller, and management layersWrite and maintain software in C/C++ and scripting languages (Python)Design and execute test plans, and develop automation for feature validationAnalyze logs, packet traces, and system behavior to debug issuesReproduce issues and validate fixes across system componentsSet up and use lab environments for testing wireless scenariosCollaborate with platform, radio, QA, and cloud teams

Minimum Qualification

MS + 0-2 years or BS + 1-3 years of experienceStrong programming skills in C/C++ and PythonSolid understanding of networking fundamentals and Wi-Fi (802.11 basics)Experience or strong interest in testing, automation, and system validationStrong debugging and analytical skills

Preferred Qualification

Exposure to wireless controllers or cloud-managed networking systemsExperience with tools like Wireshark Familiarity with WPA2/WPA3 security
