Full job description
As a frontend engineer at HackerEarth, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly responsive and scalable web applications. You will work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to create seamless, visually appealing, and high-performance user interfaces.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive, and scalable web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement engaging user interfaces.
Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and services efficiently.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in frontend development.
Proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
Experience in optimising web applications for performance and accessibility.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress is a plus.
Passion for building intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Proficient use of AI coding tools (e. g., Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code) for code generation, debugging, refactoring, and documentation.
Strong prompt-writing skills with the ability to iteratively refine prompts for accurate and production-ready outputs.
Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability standards.
Experience integrating AI APIs (e. g., OpenAI/LLM-based services) into frontend applications, including handling streaming responses and UX considerations.
Demonstrated productivity improvement using AI tools while maintaining code quality and engineering best practices.
