Full job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in test automation, Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, and AI. The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering mindset and experience building scalable automation frameworks, integrating AI/LLMs into testing workflows, and driving quality across modern web applications and APIs. AI experience is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.

Build robust end-to-end test automation covering functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser testing.

Develop reusable automation libraries, utilities, fixtures, and test frameworks.

Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution at scale.

Identify opportunities to leverage AI/LLMs in software testing and QA automation.

Build or integrate AI-powered solutions for areas such as: Test case generation, Test script generation, Test-data generation, Self-healing automation, Failure analysis and debugging, Intelligent test prioritisation, Automated test-result analysis.

Work with developers, product managers, and engineering teams to define test strategies and improve product quality.

Perform API testing and validate backend services and integrations.

Analyse automation failures, identify root causes, and improve framework stability.

Contribute to quality engineering best practices, coding standards, and automation architecture.

Mentor junior QA/SDET engineers and contribute to automation strategy where required.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.

Strong TypeScript and/or JavaScript development experience.

Strong experience in UI automation and API automation.

Experience designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.

Hands-on AI/GenAI/LLM experience.

Understanding of integrating LLMs/AI tools into testing or engineering workflows.

Experience with Git and CI/CD.

Strong programming and debugging skills.

Good understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.

AI Skills - Mandatory:

Candidates must have practical exposure to AI/GenAI, such as:

LLMs - OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, etc.

AI-assisted test generation

LLM-based automation

AI-powered test analysis/debugging

Agentic AI for testing

AI-based test data generation

RAG/LLM applications for QA

AI coding/testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar

Candidates with only theoretical knowledge of AI should not be considered.

Good to Have:

Experience with Python.

Selenium/Cypress experience.

API automation using REST/GraphQL.

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

AWS/GCP/Azure exposure.

Experience with performance testing.

Experience with mobile automation.

Experience building AI agents or AI-powered developer tools.
