The Senior Director (APAC) will serve as a key strategic HR leader, driving visionary HR strategies across the APAC region in close collaboration and alignment with the CHRO and regional HR peers, while serving as the global HR Business Partner to designated functions. This role will partner directly with C-level and executive leaders to cultivate organizational excellence and drive business success through innovative people strategies. The Senior Director (APAC) will lead the development and implementation of forward-thinking HR initiatives, champion change management, ensure compliance, and foster a thriving, high-performance company culture across both the APAC region and supported global functions. The Senior Director will be instrumental in optimizing talent management, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and empowering a high-performing HR team while seamlessly collaborating with global HR Directors/Managers and cross-functional leaders. As the key on-the-ground lead for the region, this role will also partner closely with Global Success Hub site leaders to support alignment across core people functions globally. The Senior Director will help drive integrated planning and communication to ensure consistency across locations, while respecting existing departmental ownership of functional workstreams. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the drafting, negotiation and review of a variety of contracts for employment matters in coordination with the KB4 Legal team.

Responsibilities

Partner with Global Success Hub site leaders to develop and manage a unified success hub framework and execution timeline spanning organizational structure, benefits, compensation, recruitment, and talent branding, ensuring global synchronizationFacilitate integrated success hub planning for headcount, capacity, and employee communications to ensure cross-location alignment, while maintaining existing departmental ownership of functional workstreamsDraft and implement robust HR policies, procedures and processes in line with KnowBe4’s culture and core values, including the development of the employee handbooks for the International entitiesContinuously monitor and review the effectiveness of all existing HR policies and processes, and make recommendations for improvement as appropriateIdentify and report on HR-related risks, making recommendations for managing such risksWork collaboratively with the CHRO International, local HR teams and Legal to manage complex employee relations matters including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, leaves, absences, retirement, and redundancy in a confidential, lawful, and sensitive mannerOversee compliance requirements with regards to employee contracts, bonuses, pensions, required filings, and related mattersSupport the local HR teams in all aspects of benefits administration, selection and coordination with vendorsProvide advice and coaching, supporting the local HR teams on disciplinary, grievance and other people related mattersWork in coordination with the Expansion team to assist in their recruitment processRepresent the company at mediation, arbitration, conciliation, and litigation proceedings, as requiredAdvise executives, including senior management, within the companyOversee a team of HR Directors & HR Managers to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and help develop and implement innovative solutionsWork alongside and counsel other departments within the companyResearch and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company from a People Operations perspective.Research and help to develop strategies to avoid litigation and reduce potential areas of risk

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or experience requiredMaster's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or experience preferredMinimum 10 years of human resource leadership experienceSignificant experience in both operational and strategic HR, supporting multiple countries preferably in a fast-growing environmentFluent in English and preferable in at least one other language of the countries under this positionExcellent knowledge of People Operations/HR processes, tools and practices – performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagementThorough knowledge of applicable employment-related laws and regulations in the APAC regionProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn KnowBe4's HRIS and talent management systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficient with Google Suite.Ability to work both independently and as a teamAbility to work well under pressureAbility to handle high volumes of work at a fast paceMust be able to travel to various locations with APAC region and the US office on a 1 or 2 yearly basis
