About the Role

The Site Security Lead is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all physical security operations at the manufacturing facility to ensure protection of personnel, assets, information, infrastructure, and business operations. The role is accountable for site access control, material movement security, emergency response, incident investigation, security systems management, regulatory compliance, vendor management, and continuous improvement of security processes. The incumbent will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, EHS, HR, Supply Chain, and Administration teams to maintain a secure, compliant, and audit-ready environment.

Responsibilities

Lead all physical security operations across the site on a 24x7 basis and implement security procedures, site instructions, and control measures.Ensure effective deployment of security personnel across critical and sensitive areas and conduct regular security inspections, patrols, and vulnerability assessments.Establish preventive measures against theft, pilferage, vandalism, sabotage, and unauthorized access and ensure compliance with site access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.Oversee management of ID cards compliance, entry level access permissions, visitor passes, and temporary access authorizations and ensure effective frisking, screening, and monitoring procedures are implemented as per site policy.Monitor compliance with restricted-area access requirements and ensure secure inward and outward movement of materials, finished goods, scrap, tools, assets, and equipment. Working in SEZ Monitor gate operations and verify compliance with material movement procedures.Ensure all security-related material transactions are properly documented and recorded and prevent unauthorized movement of company assets and confidential materials.Management Manage and ensure maintenance, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Boom Barriers, Turnstiles, Intrusion Detection Systems and Perimeter Protection SystemsRecommend and implement technology upgrades to strengthen site security and lead response to security incidents, breaches, emergencies, and suspicious activities.Conduct investigations into thefts, violations, misconduct, and security-related incidents and prepare investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.Track and close preventive and corrective actions arising from incidents.Act as a key member of the Site Emergency Response Team and coordinate response during fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, security threats, civil disturbances, and business disruptions. Organize mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises. Liaise with external emergency services as required.Ensure adherence to company security policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and statutory guidelines. Support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits.Maintain audit-ready documentation and records and track security observations and ensure timely closure.Manage contracted security service providers and Conduct performance reviews of security agencies and deployed personnel. Ensure security manpower is adequately trained, disciplined, and compliant with site requirements and monitor adherence to contractual obligations and SLAs.Attendance Management & Invoicing ProcessingLead, motivate, and develop the security team and conduct regular training, briefings, and competency assessments.Prepare manpower deployment plans and shift schedules and foster a culture of vigilance, accountability, and professional conduct.Stakeholder Management Partner with Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Engineering, EHS, HR, Supply Chain & Administration Provide security guidance for projects, audits, VIP visits, and business-critical activities and present security performance reports and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline, Certification in Security Management, Industrial Security, Risk Management, or related field Preferred Ex-Defence, Paramilitary, Police, or Industrial Security professionals preferred.Experience 8-12 years of security experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Biotechnology, FMCG, Engineering, or Industrial Operations.Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience managing large contract security teams and security infrastructure.
