Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Workday Developer to join our People Engineering team. At Autodesk, we believe you can #makeanything, and in this role, you will bring that same mindset to the systems and processes that support our global workforce.

You will play a key role in enhancing and supporting Workday across Integrations, Workday Extend, Core Human Capital Management (HCM), Benefits, Payroll, Security, and Reporting. Working closely with People, Payroll, Finance, Information Technology (IT), and external partners, you will deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact solutions that improve the employee experience and support Autodesk's global People strategy.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Representational State Transfer (REST) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)Develop and enhance Workday Extend applications, including custom pages, model objects, and embedded business logicConfigure and support Core Human Capital Management (HCM), including business processes, job profiles, position management, worker data, and employee lifecycle eventsManage Benefits configurations, including eligibility, open enrollment, life events, carrier feeds, and vendor integrationsSupport payroll integrations, payment elections, banking configurations, and global payroll processesConfigure organizational structures, including legal entities, companies, cost centers, pay groups, and supervisory organizationsMaintain and audit Workday security roles, domain policies, and business process securityDevelop advanced reports, dashboards, matrix reports, and complex calculated fieldsSupport biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, implementation, and enhancementsTroubleshoot complex system and integration issues while ensuring data integrity, security, and complianceCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutionsContribute to continuous improvement of Workday processes, integrations, and engineering practices

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple modulesStrong expertise in Workday Integrations, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)Experience developing Workday Extend applications, including custom pages, model objects, and application designStrong understanding of integration architecture, APIs, and data transformationDeep knowledge of Core Human Capital Management (HCM), Benefits, Payroll, Security, and ReportingAdvanced Workday reporting and calculated field development skillsStrong understanding of global People and payroll processesExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with globally distributed and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Workday certifications in Human Capital Management (HCM), Integrations, Extend, Security, Benefits, or related areasExperience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScriptExperience working within a global enterprise environmentExperience working in Agile or Scrum development teamsExperience managing Workday releases and structured change control processesExperience designing scalable Workday solutions that support complex global business requirements
