Job Description Summary
The Senior Staff Technical Product Manager, Software Asset Management (SAM), is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing GE HealthCare's SAM technology ecosystem. This role provides technical leadership for software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, reporting, integrations, automation, and platform operations, enabling accurate, scalable, and compliant SAM capabilities that support enterprise governance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
This individual defines the technical strategy and roadmap for SAM solutions, translates business requirements into actionable deliverables, and partners across technical and business functions to balance new capabilities, operational needs, and technical debt. As the technical authority for SAM tooling, data integrity, and platform performance, this role enables trusted software asset data, defensible compliance outcomes, and informed enterprise decisions.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for GE HealthCare's SAM technology ecosystem. Design, configure, integrate, and optimize SAM solutions supporting software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, reporting, and automation. Ensure the accuracy, scalability, and integrity of software asset data to support compliance, governance, cost optimization, and operational decision-making. Translate business objectives into product requirements, technical solutions, and prioritized delivery plans. Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Procurement, Finance, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to advance SAM capabilities and continuous improvement. Evaluate technology options and recommend architecture, integration, automation, and product enhancements. Lead vendor and platform integrations while balancing new capabilities, operational requirements, defects, and technical debt. Drive best practices for software asset governance, data management, reporting, and process automation. Mentor team members and provide technical leadership across SAM processes, technologies, and solution delivery. Serve as the technical authority for SAM tooling, data quality, and platform performance in alignment with the ITAM leader. Develop and execute the AI strategy to drive optimization, simplification, and automation across the SAM portfolio. Provide technical oversight for the administration and operational health of ServiceNow and the enterprise SAM tool, including configuration, workflows, catalog items, roles, reports, agents, inventory collection, and platform integrations. Establish operational standards for monitoring, incident resolution, change management, deployment, testing, release coordination, system health validation, and SLA performance across the SAM technology ecosystem. Direct the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of enterprise integrations involving REST and SOAP APIs, ServiceNow IntegrationHub and MID Server, identity and access management, endpoint management platforms, CMDB, and enterprise reporting solutions. Ensure audit readiness through accurate data, inventory reconciliation, technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, validation procedures, reporting, and evidentiary artifacts. Guide SAM platform operations and modernization across hybrid cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and provide technical leadership for migration readiness, validation, and stabilization.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, Product Management, Enterprise Applications, or a related technical discipline. Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale software solutions, integrations, and technology platforms. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required. Equivalent experience may be considered with the expectation that certification is obtained within 6 months of assuming the role.
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of Software Asset Management processes, technologies, lifecycle management, license governance, and industry best practices. Experience with enterprise SAM tools, system integrations, APIs, workflow automation, software discovery, data normalization, reconciliation, and cloud-based technologies. Hands-on experience configuring and supporting ServiceNow capabilities, including ITSM, Catalog Management, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, MID Server, workflows, reporting, update set migration, testing, and deployment activities. Familiarity with data architecture, reporting, analytics, security, scalability, identity and access management, and governance principles. Experience working in Agile product and software delivery environments. Knowledge and experience with AI and automation technologies. Experience with enterprise programming languages and frameworks such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, Python, C#, C/C++, Kotlin, Rust, Scala, or comparable technologies. Hands-on experience with Docker or Kubernetes for deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, MongoDB, and Azure Cosmos DB. Experience managing applications and databases in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Experience with frameworks and API patterns such as Spring, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, and OSGi. Experience with operational monitoring, incident and change management, release coordination, audit support, and technical documentation.
