Job Summary
As a Senior Specialist, Project Management, you lead cross-functional efforts supporting the lifecycle, manufacturability, and delivery of hardware products. You serve as the primary coordination point between Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Management, and external OEM partners to ensure products remain available, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. You oversee hardware lifecycle initiatives, monitor component availability risks, manage product change activities, and drive execution of hardware projects from concept through deployment and sustainment. Your mission is to proactively identify and mitigate product availability risks, coordinate hardware lifecycle activities, and ensure successful execution of hardware programs without disrupting customer commitments. Your impact is measured through successful product delivery, reduced supply chain risk, effective OEM management, and timely execution of hardware refresh and sustainment initiatives. Responsibilities
Hardware Program Management Lead hardware lifecycle and sustainment projects across the NetBotz product portfolio.
Develop and maintain project plans for hardware refreshes, component replacement activities, product updates, and new hardware introductions.
Track risks, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent hardware programs.
Coordinate activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Management
Component Lifecycle & Supply Chain Coordination Monitor component lifecycle status, end-of-life notifications, supplier advisories, lead times, and supply chain risks.
Ensure identified component risks have documented mitigation plans and clear ownership.
Track execution of last-time-buy (LTB) activities and related supply chain actions.
Work with Supply Chain and Engineering teams to understand demand forecasts and potential supply constraints.
Maintain visibility into critical component availability and associated business risks.
Product Change Management Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and related product change activities.
Track progress of hardware change projects from identification through implementation and release.
Ensure stakeholders understand the schedule, impact, and status of product changes.
Facilitate communication between engineering teams and manufacturing partners regarding product updates.
Risk Management & Reporting Regularly communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
Identify emerging risks and drive corrective actions before they impact customers or production schedules.
Monitor partner commitments, deliverables, and action items.
Escalate issues proactively to prevent disruptions to manufacturing and product availability.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project or departmental objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Management, or a related field.
8+ years of experience managing technical projects, hardware programs, supply chain initiatives, or product lifecycle activities.
Experience working with manufactured products and multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Understanding of component lifecycle management, end-of-life (EOL) processes, and supply chain risk management.
Experience coordinating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and other product change processes.
Ability to interpret engineering documentation including BOMs, datasheets, and product specifications.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with manufacturing organizations, contract manufacturers, or OEM partners.
Ability to identify risks, drive actions to closure, and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
Desired Additional Skills and Experience
Experience supporting electronics, networking, industrial IoT, environmental monitoring, or embedded hardware products.
Familiarity with component lifecycle databases and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
Understanding of hardware development processes and electronics manufacturing.
Experience working with global supply chains and international manufacturing partners.
Familiarity with procurement processes, lead-time analysis, and demand planning concepts.
Understanding of regulatory compliance, product certification, and manufacturing qualification processes.
Experience supporting sustaining engineering and product refresh initiatives.
Familiarity with terminology and processes including ECO, ECR, AVL, EOL, PCN, LTB, DFM, and NPI.
