Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions for network security products and services. Contributes to the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of cloud-native security applications and networking software. Works on complex technical problems involving distributed systems, networking protocols, and high-performance packet processing to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex engineering problems with minimal supervision. Independently owns feature design and implementation, drives technical decisions within a project, and collaborates across teams to deliver high-quality software. Mentors junior engineers, participates in architecture discussions, and influences engineering best practices while contributing to product and technology roadmaps.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices for network security services.Build scalable, highly available, and resilient distributed systems deployed in containerised environments.Develop software components for network security products, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and security.Collaborate with architects, product management, and cross-functional engineering teams to define technical solutions and implementation plans.Develop, review, and optimise software for Linux-based platforms.Drive software quality through design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and automation.Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed services, networking stacks, and production deployments.Analyse and optimise application performance, resource utilisation, and system scalability.Participate in CI/CD automation and DevOps practices to improve software delivery efficiency.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing across the organisation.Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud-native networking, network security, and distributed systems.

What You Need To Bring

Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and HTTP/HTTPS.Experience designing and operating scalable microservices and distributed systems.Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, service discovery, and container networking.Knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, application identification, web filtering, and SSL/TLS inspection.Understanding of Layer 4–Layer 7 protocols and deep packet inspection concepts.Experience with software debugging, profiling, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting in production environments.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and Agile development practices.

Education And Experience Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.Typically 8-12 years experience.

Good to Have

Hands-on experience in Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) development.Experience working on both control plane and data plane software components.Experience with cloud-native network security platforms and service-oriented architectures.Exposure to high-performance packet processing frameworks such as DPDK
