We seek an experienced Software Engineer in Test to join our Identity Management Engineering (IDM) team. This team is passionate about delivering large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced Agile environment. In this role, you'll be working with a team of highly skilled and talented engineers responsible for delivering sophisticated backend solutions that help Okta reliably operate on a large scale and be highly available. As part of the team, you’ll ensure projects are completed with the highest quality and reliability using automation at every level for fast, robust, secure releases.The ideal candidate for this role would have experience working with Active Directory (AD) and familiar with group policies, AD architecture, user management, and directory services.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Review requirements and design specs to develop relative test plans and test casesAutomate UI/API tests, end-to-end tests, reliability/scale testsWork with engineering management to scope and plan engineering effortsCommunicate and document QE plans for scrum teams to reviewReview application code, identify bugs and other areas of weakness, architect tools for future coverageAutomate all critical features to maintain zero-debt cadenceRelease features with solid qualityRespond to production issues/alerts and customer issues during on-call rotationBe a strong customer advocate with a strong quality DNA. Requirements:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in software engineering (or related)5-8 years of QE/SDET experience, preferably in an enterprise SaaS company or any product-based companyExperience in quality engineering for enterprise-level software.Experience in Java-based automation developmentFamiliarity with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, API (Rest Assured, Karate, etc.), Postman, Jmeter, Splunk, and AWS toolset.Expertise in test planning and cross-team collaborative efforts.Experience working with distributed systems at large scaleAble to write and review designs and code with other team membersAble to deliver well-designed, high-quality code on timeNice to have:Experience with Performance testing.Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.Experience with Office 365, Google, Salesforce, and Active Directories/LDAP integrations.P17058_3565134 The Okta ExperienceSupporting Your Well-Being Driving Social Impact Developing Talent and Fostering Connection + CommunityWe are intentional about connection.
