Job Description: Senior Software EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong command of Golang or any strong backend language to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and secure server-side applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in building robust, reliable, and efficient solutions that drive the success of our products.Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of sophisticated, highly available, scalable, and secure server-side applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high-quality software productsDesign and develop reliable backend systems supporting high-volume transactional and payment-related workflowsBuild and maintain integrations with external platforms and service providers, ensuring reliability and resilience across distributed systemsMentor and guide junior engineers, sharing engineering expertise and best practices to foster skill development within the teamAnalyze and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing applications, making strategic improvements where necessaryDesign and implement automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, maintainability, and stabilityStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software technologies, recommending their adoption when appropriateChampion code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical documentation to maintain high development standardsTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, providing robust solutions and continuously improving system reliabilityContribute to the recruitment and hiring process by participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and providing input on hiring decisions

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in software development, with substantial experience in backend systems and cloud infrastructureStrong proficiency in designing and developing high-performance and concurrent applications. Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesGood understanding of building reliable transactional systems, including concepts such as data consistency, idempotency, concurrency, and failure handlingExperience working with relational databases and messaging/event-driven technologies would be advantageousSolid knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, including unit and integration testingDemonstrated ability to lead projects, collaborate effectively across teams, and mentor junior engineersExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challengesPrior experience in FinTech, payments, banking, e-commerce, or other high-volume transactional systems would be an added advantage
