OVERVIEW OF ROLE:PROFILE FOR EFFECTIVENESS:

The Senior Java Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and services. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

The engineer will collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role also involves participating in technical design discussions, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently owning technical deliverables, solving complex engineering problems, and contributing to architecture and technology decisions.

Strong hands-on experience with 11 and above, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and microservices.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, Java Collections, multithreading/concurrency, exception handling, JVM concepts, and design patterns.

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL & MySQL

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating distributed services and external systems.

Working knowledge of Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation is preferred.

Experience with Kafka is needed along with Redis, or similar messaging and caching technologies is an advantage.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable, secure, and production-ready code.

Strong understanding of scalable architecture, distributed systems, high availability, performance, and reliability.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues.

Ability to conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance to the team.
