Full job description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable React-based web applications for high-traffic consumer journeys such as discovery, cart, checkout, and order tracking.

Build responsive, pixel-perfect, and cross-browser compatible UI by translating product requirements and Figma designs into high-quality interfaces.

Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production rollout.

Optimise frontend performance by improving Core Web Vitals, LCP, bundle size, lazy loading, caching, and overall page load experience.

Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable TypeScript/JavaScript code with strong unit and integration test coverage.

Collaborate with backend engineers to design efficient REST/GraphQL API contracts, minimising payload size and latency.

Drive frontend architecture decisions around state management, reusable components, and modular code structure.

Use state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil based on application requirements.

Work with Next.js or other SSR/SSG frameworks to build performant and SEO-friendly applications.

Monitor frontend health using RUM/APM and browser debugging tools, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.

Ensure applications follow accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and support internationalisation where required.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions, maintaining high engineering standards.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
