We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Accounting – APAC to join our global Tax Accounting team, where innovation knows no borders. As Senior Manager, Tax Accounting – APAC, you will lead direct tax compliance, US GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740), local statutory audits and tax controversy management for all entities across the Asia-Pacific region. Reporting to the Global Senior Director of Tax Accounting, you will drive regional tax strategy, ensure strict regulatory adherence and build a high-performing tax function. This role requires technical expertise, strategic leadership and the ability to navigate complex cross-border tax environments.
What You'll Do
Lead the end-to-end quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision processes for APAC legal entities, including deferred taxes, valuation allowances and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).Oversee direct income tax compliance across all APAC jurisdictions, ensuring timely, accurate statutory filings and disclosures while managing regional tax budgets.Direct tax authority audits, inquiries and controversy resolution across the region to proactively defend tax positions and mitigate exposure.Operationalize emerging tax regulations, including BEPS 2.0 / Pillar Two and local statutory changes, to maintain forward-looking compliance.Drive cross-functional alignment with legal, treasury, accounting and business leadership across APAC and global headquarters.Lead, mentor and develop the regional tax accounting team to build operational resilience and technical expertise.
Required Qualifications
What you'll bring
Minimum 12 years of corporate direct tax experience within a multinational enterprise or Big 4 firm, with deep APAC regional expertise.Demonstrated experience leading and managing a lean, high-performing tax team.Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 740), local statutory reporting and international direct tax frameworks.Proven track record of managing complex tax controversies, audits and cross-border initiatives in challenging regulatory environments.Demonstrated leadership capability in managing regional stakeholders and driving alignment across global operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Active CPA, CA or Master’s degree in Taxation.
