About Role
As a Senior Manager - Category Management with 4.0-9.0 years of experience, your role will encompass overseeing and optimizing the category management strategies within the organization to drive growth and profitability. You will be responsible for leading a team, analyzing market trends, developing assortment plans, managing vendor relationships, and improving overall category performance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Act as the ‘business owner’ for assigned categories, possessing a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the business, along with responsibility for driving projects and promotions to achieve business objectives)Developing and executing strategies for the assigned category to drive growth, increase market share, and enhance the customer experience.Guide commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performanceManaging the entire product lifecycle, from sourcing and selection to inventory management and clearance.Manage vendor relationships - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure marketing fundsCreate business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategiesCoordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlinesConduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targetsHave a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide customers with an unparalleled shopping experienceLeading and developing a team of professionals, setting clear expectations, and providing guidance to achieve business objectives

Qualifications & Experience
● 4-9 years of E-comm business management experience – Managing the e-comm portfolio from the brand’s side or category management for an e-comm company● MBA from Tier 1/Tier 2 institutes● Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and ambiguous environment● Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills● Strong analytical numbers acumen and be comfortable generating and evaluating forecasts, metrics● Strong MS Excel & power-point skills is a must● Work closely with various departments within the company to ensure that all consumer
