Position Overview

The Expansion Account Executive for the Design and Manufacturing and Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries is responsible for driving new business and renewals within strategic accounts while exceeding key performance indicators such as renewal rate, new revenue growth, and total revenue growth.

This role carries a sales quota, with performance measured against quarterly and annual targets through upselling, add-on sales, cross-selling, and account expansion. You will develop strategic account growth plans, build trusted relationships with senior executives, and lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.

Success in this role will be measured through expansion revenue, qualified pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, account penetration, customer retention, and measurable customer value delivered.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic, outcome-led account plans for assigned large enterprise accountsIdentify expansion opportunities across business units, projects, geographies, workflows, and user groupsBuild trusted relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, technology teams, procurement stakeholders, and operational leadersUnderstand customer priorities and translate them into compelling business cases and value propositionsLead complex sales cycles from opportunity development through negotiation and commercial closureDrive broader adoption of Autodesk's portfolio, including cloud, platform, and industry solutionsCoordinate Sales, Technical Sales, Customer Success, Industry, Marketing, and Channel resources around a unified account strategyPartner closely with Channel Partners and system integrators to strengthen customer engagement and accelerate business growthMaintain a strong and qualified pipeline while providing accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecastsPosition Autodesk as a long-term strategic partner by demonstrating measurable business valueApply sound commercial judgment to navigate complex customer requirements and develop innovative solutionsLeverage deep knowledge of Autodesk products and services to identify and pursue strategic account opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

7–8 years of experience in enterprise sales, including experience selling to large or strategic customersProven Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience within the Design and Manufacturing or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industriesExperience selling Information Technology (IT) solutions that support business transformationDemonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and strategic accountsStrong commercial acumen with a data-driven and outcome-focused approachProven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growthStrong executive communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsAbility to work independently while effectively coordinating cross-functional teams and resources

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS), cloud, platform, or industry solutionsExperience developing and executing strategic account plans for large enterprise customersExperience driving renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and account expansionStrong understanding of customer workflows and business challenges within the Design and Manufacturing or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industriesExperience collaborating with Channel Partners and system integrators on complex enterprise opportunitiesExperience engaging senior executives and developing business cases that demonstrate measurable customer value
