Title: - Senior Engineer I, Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
Work in an Agile environment and develop firmware to enhance and extend the NetBotz product lineAssists in formulating customer requirements and creates/updates engineering documentsContribute to the design and architecture of productContributes to continuous improvement of products and processes.Works with Technical Support on customer issues.Participates in code inspections.Seeks out new technologies to apply to current team challenges.Mentors junior staff.Some international travel will be required from time to time (1-2 weeks per year)Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project or departmental objectives.
Required Skills and Experience:
A B.Sc or B.Eng degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)5+ years of experience programming in C on an Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).Experience in MicroC/OS-II or μC/OS-II RTOSExperience with JavaScript and Web-UI development in an embedded environmentExperience with Git for source-code management.Proven ability to work with embedded hardware platforms and debuggers.Experience with TCP/IP and protocols such as SNMP, Modbus or BACnet.Eagerness to learn and work in Secure Development Lifecycle practices.Eagerness to learn and take ownership of hands-on projects.Proven track record of delivering quality solutions and/or products.Good team building and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to provide estimates to a project manager for work undertaken.Proven to be adaptable and able to work on a variety of activities simultaneously.Shows understanding and appreciation of processes and issues relevant to the job.Ability to work on vague as well as concrete tasks independently.Eagerness to learn about business and technology trends.Knowledge of analysis techniques - can break down complex tasks easily.Demonstrated creativity in their solutions and ability to innovate in their work.Take calculated risks daily.
