Key Responsibilities

Responsible for designing the chassis and sub systems.Understand vehicle/sub system functional objectives, inter dependencies and study the packaging, serviceability, plant assembly process/ decking and cost implications.Define appropriate system-level engineering targets to meet function, quality and attribute requirements.Prepare Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA ensuring all relevant documentationConduct the resolution of design, attribute or packaging incompatibilities through the appropriate cross-functional meetings.Generate and implement VA/VE ideas to reduce the product material cost.Drive root cause investigations for structural, packaging, and manufacturing defects and derive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using 8D, 5-Why, etc.Ideal Candidate

Ideal Candidate

Overall 3 to 5 years of experience in structural design and has been a part of the development of the chassis or other structural parts for a two wheeler.Relevant knowledge of PLM platforms. Experience with Dassault 3DExperience a plus.Good understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Serviceability(DFS).Well versed with the manufacturing aspects of the sheet metal fabrication, forming and welding.Basic understanding of TQM principles, Quality in Design Philosophy. Basic understanding of FEA analysis.Good knowledge on GD&T and well versed with modelling and drafting of drawings on solid works . This is a must.Understanding of vehicle systems and its dependency on vehicle parts and assembly parameters is a plus.College Design Competition Experience a plus (FSAE, BAJA, AERO SAE, SHELL ECO MARATHON, etc.)
