To act as Senior Civil & Structural BoP Design Expert - Wind / BESS / PV / Substation & Transmission in renewable projects (Wind, Solar PV and BESS) development including preparation of in-house Basic design Engineering package, review & validation of external design documents in coordination with Technology experts providing complete Basic design deliverables and technical support in all Renewable projects. Fully focused on optimizing the overall project cost, while ensuring quality and long-term reliability of the assets.Remark: Any description included hereunder is subject to any superior decision to change at any moment and require flexibility

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Civil & Structural Engineering Deliverables: Develop and deliver detailed civil & structural designs for Balance of Plant including foundations, transformers, switchgear, transmission towers, high-voltage equipment support structures, access roads, drainage systems, and utility enclosures ensuring full compliance with IEC and IEEE standards and project specifications, while accounting for soil conditions, load requirements, and environmental factors.

Feasibility Study Assessments: Conduct technical assessments for feasibility studies, focusing on the civil engineering aspects of transmission substations and associated infrastructure. Optimize design and BOM to ensure competitive pricing and reliable offers from contractors for substation projects, including transmission tower foundation designs.

Basic Engineering & FEED Package: Prepare and review Basic Engineering and FEED packages, ensuring compliance with substation transmission requirements.

Design Validation: Validate outsourced designs, ensuring alignment with high-voltage transmission specifications and standards.

Technical Reviews & Handover: Lead design reviews and ensure smooth handover to EPC contractors and Asset Management.

EPC Design Guidance: Provide guidance to EPCs on civil design optimization for substation transmission projects.

Project Execution Support: Lead civil engineering tasks outside EPC scope, addressing design issues during execution.

Bid & Investment Support: Support bid reviews and investment decisions by providing technical insights into civil designs.

Document Management: Oversee registration, storage, tracking, and version control of documents, and train users on intranet features for uploading and locating information.

Policies & Procedures: Implement departmental policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to maintain standards and service levels for customers and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Manage and motivate the team to drive and implement change initiatives and projects according to organizational standards.

Ad hoc support to the management: Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Internal:To deliver Business Development requirements and Strategic sourcing/procurement teams with the technical support needed.Working closely within the Engineering office expert team to prepare the basic design package consistently aligned with the internal technical services technology team.External:Needs to build a rapport with EPC Contractors, Engineering firms, Vendors, external consultants, technical experts, and solution providers, etc. on new ways to optimize the project design and equipment specs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum Qualifications:.Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with specialization in structural design, geotechnics, or construction management from a reputed university..Master’s in Structural or Civil domain with specialization in advanced structural analysis, Infrastructure Systems are preferred.

Desired Experience:.14 to 18 years of relevant experience in the Renewable Power and Utilities sector.

COMPETENCIES:.Proficiency in technical tools & Software such as:o AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, SOLIDWORKSo LPILE, ArcGIS, QGIS, SAP or Similar.Expertise in technical skills such as:o Substation Layout Optimizationo Geotechnical & Hydrological Risk Assessment and Mitigation.o Structural Design Calculationso Load and Structural Analysis. Familiarity with various Industry standards and Grid codes

LEVEL: High proficiency with hands on experience to manage independently.
