Role Overview

We are looking for a high-energy, target-driven Sales Team Lead to lead and manage our India Sales team. The role will be responsible for driving revenue through effective lead management, parent counselling, team performance, and strong sales execution.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in K12 EdTech sales, strong team-handling skills, and a proven ability to coach sales executives to consistently achieve and exceed targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and motivate a team of Academic Counsellors / Sales Executives to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets.Own the team's sales funnel from lead allocation and follow-ups to counselling, conversion, and enrollment closure.Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, call audits, and coaching sessions to improve individual and team productivity.Monitor key sales metrics including connect rate, counselling-to-sale conversion, revenue per counsellor, follow-up efficiency, and overall team achievement.Support team members in handling parent objections, improving pitches, and closing high-value enrollments.Conduct or support parent counselling and product demos when required, ensuring a consultative and needs-based sales approach.Track daily team performance through CRM and sales dashboards and take immediate corrective actions wherever required.Ensure strong pipeline hygiene, timely follow-ups, and accurate CRM updates across the team.Identify performance gaps and create actionable improvement plans for underperforming team members.Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team for hiring, onboarding, and ramp-up of new sales team members.Collaborate with Marketing to share insights on lead quality, campaign performance, and conversion trends.Work with Academic/Curriculum teams to stay updated on BrightCHAMPS' programs and effectively communicate their value to parents.Drive a high-performance, accountable, and target-oriented team culture.Support leadership in implementing sales strategies, process improvements, and initiatives to improve revenue and conversion.Track team-level costs and incentive metrics and ensure efficient utilization of sales resources.

What We're Looking For2–5 years of experience in Sales / Inside Sales / Business Development, preferably in K12 EdTech.Prior experience managing or leading a sales team is mandatory.Experience in parent counselling, B2C sales, inside sales, or consultative selling is highly preferred.Strong understanding of sales funnels and metrics such as conversion rate, connect rate, revenue achievement, average deal size, and productivity.Proven ability to coach, motivate, and drive a team toward aggressive sales targets.Strong communication, persuasion, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.Comfortable working with CRM and sales tools such as LeadSquared, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, target-driven startup environment.Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.Willingness to work in a 6-day work environment with rotational week-offs, including weekends, as required by the business.
