Position Summary

The Admission Counsellor will be responsible for engaging with prospective parents and students, understanding their educational requirements, explaining 21K School’s programs, and guiding them through the admissions journey.

The role requires excellent communication, consultative selling, active listening, consistent follow-up, and a strong target-oriented approach.

Key stakeholders: Parents/Prospective Students, Admissions Team, Academic Counsellors, Marketing Team, and Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities

● Handle inbound and outbound calls with prospective parents and students.

● Understand parent/student requirements and recommend suitable educational programs.

● Clearly explain the school’s curriculum, teaching methodology, programs, fee structure, and admissions process.

● Conduct counselling sessions and address parent queries and concerns effectively.

● Follow up with prospective parents through calls, emails, and other communication channels.

● Maintain regular follow-ups to move leads through the admissions funnel.

● Schedule counselling sessions, demos, webinars, and other admission-related interactions.

● Maintain accurate lead details, follow-up status, interactions, and conversions in the CRM.

● Handle objections professionally and work towards lead conversion and enrolment.

● Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly counselling, conversion, and revenue targets.

● Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth admission experience.

● Share relevant feedback on lead quality, parent concerns, and market trends with the team.

Preferred Qualifications

● Educational Qualification: Any Graduate / Bachelor’s Degree.

● Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of experience in sales, telecalling, customer support, admissions, counselling, or EdTech is preferred.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

● Strong interpersonal, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.

● Active listening and consultative counselling approach.

● Basic knowledge of CRM systems, Google Workspace, and MS Office.

● Comfortable using video conferencing tools such as Zoom or Google Meet.

● Candidates with a confident, positive, and target-oriented approach are preferred.

● Experience in the education or EdTech sector will be an added advantage.
