Full job description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain healthcare data pipelines using Python.

Work extensively with FHIR and HL7 healthcare data standards and integrations.

Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, validate, and process healthcare data.

Build and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.

Work with healthcare datasets such as patient, encounter, observation, medication, diagnostic, and clinical data.

Develop data transformation and normalisation processes for structured and semi-structured healthcare data.

Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms.

Work with APIs and healthcare systems to ingest and exchange FHIR/HL7 data.

Optimise data pipelines for scalability, reliability, and performance.

Collaborate with engineering, product, and healthcare domain teams to understand data requirements.

Requirements:

4-7 years of experience in Data Engineering / Healthcare Data Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Python.

Strong knowledge of FHIR and HL7 standards.

Experience working with healthcare/clinical datasets.

Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.

Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data pipeline development.

Experience with REST APIs and healthcare data integrations.

Good understanding of data modelling, data transformation, and data quality.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
