QUALITY ENGINEER LEAD

Overview Of Role

Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks using Tosca,

Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar automation technologies, with reusable and configurable

components.

Design and execute end-to-end automation across APIs, web services, GUI applications, and

microservices, with strong hands-on experience in API automation.

Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python and/or other relevant programming languages,

following coding standards, framework best practices, and maintainable design principles.

Define risk-based test strategies, test cases, execution plans, automation coverage, and quality metrics

across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

Validate databases, SQL results, JSON responses, API contracts, schemas, and end-to-end data flows to

ensure data integrity and application quality.

Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing,

deployment, reporting, and quality gates.

Lead defect analysis, troubleshooting, test reporting, root-cause analysis, and continuous quality

improvements across applications and data products.

Collaborate with Product, Development, Data, API, Architecture, and Business teams in a cross-functional

Agile environment, while mentoring QA engineers and driving consistent automation practices.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and test automation, including hands-on experience

designing and implementing automation frameworks.

Strong experience with one or more automation frameworks such as Tosca, Cypress, Selenium,

Playwright, or similar technologies, with the ability to evaluate and implement appropriate automation

approaches.

Strong experience with API/REST and microservices automation, including validation of API responses,

contracts, schemas, and integration flows.

Strong Python programming skills and understanding of automation framework design, reusable

components, and maintainable test automation practices.

Strong SQL skills and experience validating database data, data transformations, and end-to-end data

flows.

Experience with functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing, including riskbased

test planning and automation strategy.

Experience integrating automated testing with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and working with

Git/GitHub or similar version-control tools.

Experience with Tosca modules, Test Case Design, Test Plans, Execution, and Requirements Management,

Or Equivalent Capabilities In Other Automation Frameworks.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and experience working with cross-functional engineering

and business teams.

Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with experience providing

technical guidance and mentoring to QA engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

Tosca Automation Specialist Level 1/2 certification. Experience with Tosca Service Virtualization, qTest, CI agents, or similar test management and service

virtualization tools.

Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or other modern web automation frameworks. Experience with test data management, service virtualization, and automated test environment

management.

Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test and work management platforms. Experience automating complex end-to-end GUI, API, microservices, and data-driven applications. Experience with performance testing tools and optimization of large-scale automated test suites. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
