QUALITY ENGINEER
Overview Of Role
Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation using Tosca, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or
similar frameworks, with reusable and maintainable components.
Develop and execute automated and manual testing across APIs, web services, GUI applications, ETL
pipelines, data warehouses, BI/Power BI, and end-to-end data flows.
Develop automation using Python and apply coding standards, framework best practices, and effective
test automation practices.
Design risk-based test cases, execution plans, and automation coverage across functional, integration,
regression, data validation, and performance testing.
Validate SQL, database data, JSON responses, API contracts, schemas, source-to-target mappings, and
complex data transformation logic across data pipelines.
Integrate automated testing with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and support version control, test
execution, reporting, and continuous quality improvements.
Perform defect analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, test reporting, and data reconciliation to
ensure application and data quality.
Collaborate with Product, Development, Data, API, and Business teams in a cross-functional Agile
environment.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Test Automation, ETL, Data Warehousing, or BI testing. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca or equivalent test automation frameworks such as
Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
Strong SQL skills, including experience writing complex queries and validating data in platforms such as
Redshift or similar data platforms.
Strong experience with API/REST and microservices testing and automation. Strong Python skills with an understanding of automation framework design, reusable components, and
coding best practices.
Experience with functional, integration, regression, ETL, data validation, data warehouse, BI, and
performance testing.
Experience validating JSON, API responses, schemas, databases, source-to-target mappings, and complex
data transformations.
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git/GitHub, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work
effectively across technical and business teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or other modern test automation frameworks. Experience with Tosca Test Case Design, Test Plans, Execution, Requirements Management, or equivalent
test management capabilities.
Experience with test data management, service virtualization, and automated test environment
management.
Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting platforms and data visualization testing. Experience with performance testing tools and automated test suite optimization. Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test and work management tools. Tosca certification or other relevant testing/automation certification.
