This is a high-impact opportunity for a deeply technical product leader who thrives at the intersection of network security, threat prevention, and data protection.What makes this role exciting: You will shape strategy, requirements, and delivery of foundational security features powering Versa’s SASE/SSE and secure networking portfolio, while partnering with engineering, threat research, sales engineering, and customers globally.Security Portfolio You’ll OwnTLS / DTLSEncrypted traffic inspectionDNS SecurityThreat & policy enforcementATPCloud & on-prem sandboxingIPS / AVIntrusion prevention & anti-virusURL SecurityFeeds, categorization & filteringIP ReputationFeeds & filteringDLPData Loss PreventionCASB / RBICloud access & browser isolationWhat You’ll DriveOwn product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Versa’s core security capabilities.Partner with the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) on vulnerability response, CVE tracking, disclosure coordination, and customer communications.Create detailed PRDs/MRDs, prioritize the backlog, and partner with engineering to deliver high-quality releases on schedule.Engage customers, partners, and field teams to gather requirements, validate roadmap direction, and support strategic deals.Track the threat landscape, security standards such as NIST PQC and MITRE ATT&CK, and competitive offerings.Collaborate with threat research and security efficacy teams to improve detection and prevention rates, including third-party efficacy testing and certifications.Define pricing, packaging, and licensing strategies with product marketing.Act as the security subject-matter expert for analyst briefings, evangelism, webinars, and industry events.Develop enablement content and work with sales engineering to drive adoption across the installed base.Drive user experience with UX, field, customers, and engineering teams.Build and manage technology and solution partnerships.What You Bring12+ years of experience in networking/security, including 6+ years in security product management.Deep hands-on understanding of TLS/SSL inspection, DTLS, DNS security, IPS/IDS, anti-malware, sandboxing, and URL/IP reputation and filtering.Strong working knowledge of inline DLP, CASB, and browser isolation (RBI).Familiarity with cryptography fundamentals and emerging Post-Quantum Cryptography standards, including NIST-selected algorithms and hybrid key exchange.Experience with product security processes including SIRT/PSIRT operations, vulnerability triage, CVE/CVSS scoring, and coordinated disclosure.Proven track record of delivering security products at scale for enterprise or service-provider markets.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical audiences and executive stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Preferred ExperienceSASE, SSE, SD-WAN, or NGFW product portfoliosSecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or equivalentSecurity efficacy testing and certification bodies such as ICSA Labs, AV-TEST, or CyberRatingsCompliance frameworks including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOC 2 as they relate to data protectionWorking with globally distributed engineering teamsWhy Join Versa Networks?Work on a market-leading, single-vendor SASE platform recognized by top industry analysts.Own a broad, strategically critical security portfolio with direct influence on product direction.Collaborate with world-class engineering and threat research teams.Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.IDEAL PROFILEA technically strong security product leader who can translate complex threat and protection capabilities into a scalable enterprise product strategy.
