As a Product Development Engineering Manager, you will be assuming a pivotal leadership role within our team, shaping the future of our CRM Analytics and Integration Engineering Teams. You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of our CRMA and Integration Engineering teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our user base. You will spearhead the architecture and implementation of leading technologies, mentor and guide engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Java, Spring Boot, AWS and CRMA. They should blend their engineering abilities with strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate complex business requirements into performant and scalable Salesforce features.

Responsibilities:
Become a domain expert and help the team understand product requirements, prioritization, and project sequencing.
Full lifecycle of software development (requirements gathering, designing, building, testing, maintenance, and support).
Work within a cross-functional team of engineers building software in a collaborative and agile development environment.
Foster an open environment of mutual support and engineering effectiveness.
Execute and improve the project processes.
Enable data-driven prioritization and decision-making for your team through crossorganizational communication.
Escalate and report project status, progress, and risks to your leadership.
Coach engineers on best practices, technical concepts, and detailed documentation.
Influence and drive software engineering and architecture best practices and standards within the team and wider organization.
Support the team in continuously improving the organization's tools and best practices for owning and operating software.
Author and provide feedback on technical proposals and root cause analyses.
Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching.
Lead the design and development of high-quality solutions.
Define and implement Salesforce architecture and development strategies that align.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate user requirements into functional and scalable Salesforce solutions.
Champion best practices for CRMA development and Java/Spring Boot, ensuring adherence to quality standards and coding guidelines.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
Conduct technical reviews, provide guidance on technical debt reduction, and oversee the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Salesforce issues, ensuring system.
Document technical decisions and maintain comprehensible documentation for future reference.
Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field.
8+ years of technical experience with at least 2 years of technical and engineering leadership experience.
Have 5+ years of experience in web application development or software engineering in a large enterprise environment using the Salesforce and CRM Analytics platforms.
Have Salesforce Certifications.
Be able to demonstrate significant experience working with relational databases, SQL and newer NoSQL data stores as well as event streaming platforms (Snowflake, Kafka).
Lead engineering teams in building architectures that are robust, fault-tolerant, and cloud-native.
Possess extensive AWS managed service solution design and implementation experience.
Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, testing strategy, and operations of Integration API services written primarily in Java. Develop secure and highly performant integration services and APIs.
Lead code reviews and provide leadership and direction to junior engineers.
Deliver multiple projects utilizing an Agile methodology.
Take a high-ownership, self-sufficient, hands-on position on the team to lead and drive quality and maintain application stability.
Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy mentoring and helping others to succeed as a team.
Have a strong interest in open source technology.
Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Have a track record of championing quality engineering; be adamant that all code is written in a way that can be tested with unit tests.
Have experience working with high-performing teams using Agile and Lean.
Care about your craft and have opinions about the right way to do things with technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline is highly desirable.
Previous work experience in Ad Platforms, Accounts Receivable and/or financial applications.
Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high-quality results.
Knowledge of AWS managed services, performance testing, and application profiling.
Pardot/MCAE Certifications Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high-quality results.
Strong curiosity about how Disney delivers the Magic and a desire to be a part of it.
Expertise in Java/Python, SQL Databases and AWS/Azure.
