Job Description
We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer in OCI Network Automation team, to design, implement and optimize components in distributed systems with an emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and operability. Deliver features and leverage distributed state tools for high-volume retrieval, storage, and processing; and review peers' implementations for quality and scalability compliance. Proactively detect and mitigate issues via tests, alarms, dashboards, and telemetry; author runbooks and participate in incident response and RCAs.

Design and develop services, automated workflows and infrastructure to manage a growing fleet of networking devicesDeliver highly available and secure OCI Networking infrastructureOwn onboarding of next-gen network technologies, deployment tooling, patching, fleet monitoring, automation, and access controlsCollaborate across OCI to ensure networking is best-in-class
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain technologies to automate distributed fleet managementDevelop deployment and monitoring tools for scale and performanceEnhance deployment efficiency across global regions through automationParticipate in on-call rotation to monitor fleet and servicesImprove operational capabilities via runbooks, alarming, and tooling
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field8+ years of experience in software development5+ years of Linux System Engineering experience5+ years with Python, BASH, or Java1+ years of DevOps experienceProficient with build tools/pipelines (e.g., TeamCity, Maven, Make)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in CI/CD environmentsAgile development experiencePrior cloud infrastructure experienceExperience automating networking device management
