Job Description Summary
As a PhD Intern (Chemistry), you will conduct research independently and/or under limited guidance on specific topics. This will include theoretical literature search, experimental procedures, usage of analytical instruments, analysis of data and preparing of reports / presentations. In this role, you will be part of a cutting edge research team in the domain of materials science and chemistry, working for the next generation of aerospace materials.

Roles Overview
Conduct research and experiments in assigned projects under limited guidance, focusing on material science, electrochemistry, catalysis, or polymer chemistry, relevant to GE Aerospace applications.Design and execute experimental protocols, analyze data, and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, materials scientists, and other researchers, to integrate chemical insights into broader project goals.Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and scientific publications summarizing research findings.Operate and maintain advanced analytical instrumentation and laboratory equipment.Participate in regular project meetings, present progress, and contribute to technical discussions.Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices within the laboratory environment.Stay updated with the latest scientific literature and advancements in relevant chemical fields.
Ideal Candidate
Should be pursuing PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.Strong theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental chemical principles.Demonstrated experience in experimental design, execution, and data analysis.Proficiency in using various analytical techniques relevant to chemistry (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, electrochemical methods).Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to research challenges.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Prior experience in an industrial research setting or with projects relevant to aerospace is a plus.
