Payment Operations Associate, Data Operations

Location: Bangalore, India

The Opportunity

Flywire is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Payment Operations Associate, Data Operations to serve as the founding member of our new Bangalore team. As our first hire in this region, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our payment architecture, ensuring the flawless execution of high-volume international and domestic transactions.

This isn't just about managing data. It's about owning the integrity of our payment ecosystem. You will act as the bridge between global banking partners, compliance teams and our users, driving efficiency and minimising friction in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

Helping to successfully process growing volume of international and domestic paymentsVerify beneficiary account details to ensure they are accurate and adhere to AML regulations and internal policiesWorking closely with payment partners and banks to identify and resolve payment issues promptlyIdentify and report processing inefficiencies and help to resolveReview, improve and maintain payment formatting rules to reduce payment issuesWork closely with Compliance team to review and improve internal policies to reduce friction in the AML processCommunicate with payers directly via email and call to resolve issues and prevent delays

Undergraduate Degree along with an interest in financial services or operationsDeadline focussed with strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detailFluent English, written and spoken, other languages are an advantagePossess a willingness and eagerness to learnAbility to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical and computer skills including proficiency in Excel and other online tools (Google Apps, etc.)Passion for problem solving and helping customersHighly effective communication skillsA positive, can-do attitude, motivated to drive ongoing, continuous improvementExperience in finance, banking operations or transactional reconciliation is an advantage
