OnSemi is seeking a Senior MTS Analog design Engineer, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including SiC drivers, MOS/IGBT drivers, LED drivers, smart Switches and efuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role, you will focus on the following

Mentor a diverse team of experienced and junior Analog IC design engineers Lead an Analog IC design team with product ownership and responsibility from definition to release to manufacturingMake assignments for team members, providing design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the projectEvaluate intermediate and final results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectivesWork with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layoutWork with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing assisting in the definition of the product to meet customer needs as well as contributing to roadmap formulation and new concept creationDefine IP test plan and execution working along with product and test engineer. Define and develop IP for both industrial and automotive applicationsCollaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to productionInterface and lead discussions with the customer and/or ONsemi field sales/field applications teams to understand customer designs, problems and support as requiredActively participate in hiring, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the organization and growth of the individuals into leaderLead, motivate, provide technical mentorship to the team Collaborate with overseas design and systems teams on technical aspects, IP development, sharing of know-how Provide technical leadership in driving architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications Own technical outcome of design, verification, implementation, and execution of given products with complexities at the SoC level Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or related 16 and above years of experience, or MS 14 and above years of experience

Qualification

Solid track record of releasing complex ICs/IPs to market Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies Goal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team Ability to provide technical mentorship to team Experience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a team Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of management Solid understanding of various drivers like SiC/GAN/LED, smartFET / Efuses and relevant Analog building blocks Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance understanding of power transistor Design, Layout, and Robustness Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions Ability to take the initiative and drive for results Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
