A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design and development of equipment and tools for lifting, transportation, pre-assembly, and installation of wind turbine components/assemblies will be an added advantage. Ability to perform basic structural load calculations, load path evaluations, rigging calculations, and preliminary FEM validation during concept development.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Minimum 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the wind energy industry preferred.Proven experience in the design and development of medium to large-scale steel structures.Strong expertise in the design of bolted, welded, and sheet metal structures.Proficient in creating 2D manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, welded fabrications, and assemblies using Siemens NX.Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and Teamcenter.Sound knowledge of GD&T/GPS standards and tolerance stack-up analysis for mechanical components and assemblies.Good understanding of DFMEA and design risk assessment methodologies.Experience in creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Masters, and inspection specifications for wind turbine components.
