We are looking for an experienced library engineer that can enrich our PCBA CAD library with 3D models.
Team responsibilities
The PCBA Library Creation team delivers CAD Components to Philips businesses on component creation, update, maintenance and verification of PCBA Library data in the Philips databases.
Support the increasing demand from the Philips businesses for PCBA CAD Library elements
Actively support improvement of library creation methods and way-of-working
Actively support Philips businesses globally with their PCBA development
As a PCBA Library Engineer you will:
Provide 3D Models for library elements
Verify 3D Models against datasheet or as required for the design
Integrate and verify 3D models with PCBA footprints
Provide 3D models ‘as is’ or create them manually using our CAD tools
Complete PCBA Part Requests following the Philips workflow
Upload created parts in DMS, Verify and Release
Define and understand the PCBA CAD Library Creation Processes
Perform a verification of the Part Request deliverables
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mechanical CAD-related topics and requirements
Drive and support new requirements in Mechanical CAD, including process improvements and tool enhancements
Design and establish new workflows from scratch based on business needs
Set up and configure Mechanical CAD processes in systems such as Windchill (3D CAD environment)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and standardize Mechanical CAD practices
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members on Mechanical CAD tools, workflows, and best practices
Ensure governance, compliance, and continuous improvement of Mechanical CAD processes

Philips Innovation Services is a corporate group within Philips HealthTech, consisting of approximately 1000 passionate professionals in the field of Consulting, Engineering and other innovation services.
Your group Electronic Design Services (EDS) is a part of the Reliability Solutions department and consists of a team of 60+ highly skilled technical professionals in the field of Electronic Design.
The EDS group plays an instrumental role in establishing and leading a Philips-wide, global, Electronic Design Platform (schematics, PBCA design & technology), as well as global e-Component Management and Prototyping Services for both external customers as well as internal Philips businesses, located across the world.
The EDS group is located in Eindhoven Netherlands, Cambridge US, and Bangalore and Pune in India.
You will be located in Bangalore and report to the EDS groupleader in India.
We are looking for
Bachelor in Science or BE / B.Tech in Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics
6+ years of experience with CAD-M designing with PTC Creo
Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical components
Experienced in 3D model creation based on datasheets of electronic components
Competence in the area of PCBA Library Creation
Expertise with Mentor Graphics Xpedition Library Manager is a plus
Pro-active, can-do attitude, team player
Able to work in a structured manner, with a focus on quality
Fluent in English, verbal and written
Capable of communicating effectively with all technical disciplines
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
