Role Description The Legal Manager will oversee and manage legal affairs for BrightCHAMPS’ operations in Jakarta, Indonesia, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations. This full-time, on-site role includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements, preparing and maintaining legal documentation, and providing legal consulting support to internal stakeholders. The Legal Manager will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage risk, support business initiatives, and implement policies that uphold regulatory and corporate governance standards. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring changes in relevant legislation, coordinating with external legal counsel when required, and supporting internal training on legal and compliance matters.
QualificationsStrong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and statutes.Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts and official documentation.Experience in Legal Consulting, providing clear, practical guidance to business and operational teams.Expertise in Legal Compliance, ensuring adherence to local, regional, and international regulatory requirements.Background in managing Legal Affairs for organizations, particularly in fast-growing or multinational environments.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law (LLB/LLM) from an accredited institution; bar admission or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.Prior experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably within the technology or education sectors.Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly beneficial.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and support an impact-driven, global team environment.
