Job Description Summary

As a Global Travel Team Sourcing Analyst at the LPB level, you will play a critical role in supporting our global travel sourcing strategy and support the strategy for Fleet and Meetings and Events. You will be responsible for analyzing travel spend data, benchmarking market rates, and assisting in the end-to-end procurement process for travel-related services (air, hotel, car rental, and travel management services). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive cost-efficiency and traveler experience improvements.

Essential Responsibilities

Support development and execution strategies within the assigned spend category to include all Travel categories including Fleet and Meetings & Events as needed.Spend Analysis: Extract and analyze travel expense data to identify trends, leakage, and opportunities for cost savings.Sourcing Support: Assist the Global Travel Sourcing Manager in the preparation of RFPs/RFIs for airline, hotel, and travel management company (TMC) partnerships.Supplier Performance Management: Track and report on supplier compliance, performance metrics, and service-level agreements (SLAs).Spend Analysis: Extract and analyze travel expense data to identify trends, leakage, and opportunities for cost savings.Market Benchmarking: Conduct market research to ensure our travel programs remain competitive and aligned with industry best practices.Data Integrity & Reporting: Ability to maintain accurate documentation of contract terms and savings trackers; prepare periodic reports for leadership review.Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with finance, HR, and global mobility teams to ensure travel policies are effectively communicated and implemented.Process Improvement: Ability to identify bottlenecks in the sourcing lifecycle and propose solutions to streamline operations.Collaborate with all Indirect Sourcing teams and internal stakeholders from HR, Finance, Compliance, and other business partners to align on Travel processes, methodologies and supplier management.Drive benchmarking, best practices, and continuous improvementAbility to lead development of best-in-class analytics specifically related to the assigned spend categoryBuild and own the relationship with assigned stakeholders and suppliers within the assigned spend category to include Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Online Booking Tool, and Airline & Hotels providersSupport the management of corporate sourcing process end-to-end, including hedging strategy and trigger points within the assigned spend categoryPartner with the TMC supplier consulting team on tactical sourcing activities aligned to deliver category strategy and negotiated rates to GE Vernova travelersCollaborate with all Indirect Sourcing teams and internal stakeholders from HR, Finance, Compliance, and other business partners to align on Travel processes, methodologies and supplier management. Drive benchmarking, best practices, and continuous improvementLead development of best-in-class analytics specifically related to the assigned spend category

Qualifications/Requirements

Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture changeStrong experience within the assigned spend categoryFor roles not in USA, this role requires significant experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience/ knowledge from an accredited university or college.For roles in USA, this role requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with major experience in job family group/function), or equivalent experience/ knowledge
