Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of core electrical proprietary components for our electric two-wheelers.In this role, you will be the technical owner of critical 'touch-and-feel' and safety components - including Lamps (Headlamps, Tail lamps, Indicators), Horns, Buzzers, and Handlebar Switchgear. You will bridge the gap between industrial design aesthetics and robust electrical engineering, ensuring every click, flash, and sound meets the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.End-to-End Product Development: Lead the design, prototyping, and validation of electrical components (Lighting, Acoustics, and HMI switches) from concept to mass production with suppliers and internal teams.Technical Specification: Define and author detailed Product Requirement Document (PRD) and Component Drawings, ensuring alignment with vehicle-level goals.Supplier Management: Collaborate with Tier-1 and Tier-2 vendors to oversee Design and Development, tool development, PCBA designs, and manufacturing processes for proprietary parts.Integration & Testing: Conduct rigorous bench testing and vehicle-level validation for Functionality and integration and co-ordinate with product validation team for product level tests such as EMI/EMC compliance, thermals, durability, ingress protection (IP67/IP65) etc.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all Peripheral components meet AIS regulatory standards for road legal certification.Optimization: Drive 'Value Engineering' initiatives to reduce costs while improving component reliability and user experience (tactile feedback, light throw, etc.).

Ideal Candidate

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering. Experience: minimum 3 to 8 years in the automotive industry, specifically focusing on 2-wheeler electrical peripherals. Domain Expertise: Proven track record of launching proprietary automotive lamps or switchgear into the market. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with Industrial Designers and Procurement teams. Design & Tools : Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and PCB design review (Altium) Electrical Systems : Deep understanding of LED drivers, switch-matrix logic, Electrical schematics, EMI/EMC practices etc. Materials Knowledge : Expertise in plastics (ABS/PC etc.), optics (reflectors/light-guides), contact plating, tactility etc. Quality Standards : Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP, and APQP processes. Testing : Hands-on experience with Photometry and Acoustic testing.
