We are seeking a Team Lead – Strategic Sourcing to join our Procurement Operations team at Fossil Group in Bengaluru, Karnataka. What You Will Do In This Role
Strategic Sourcing & Market Engagement
Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including global RFPs/RFQs, competitive bidding events, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiations Partner with business stakeholders to validate requirements and align sourcing roadmaps with strategic corporate priorities Conduct market and category analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, cost optimization gaps, and supplier alternatives
Commercial Negotiation & Value Delivery
Lead complex negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, service levels, and commercial agreements Drive and track Hard Savings, Soft Savings, and Working Capital/Cash Flow improvement initiatives against defined targets Develop data-driven category strategies and benchmarking models to identify opportunities for multi-year value creation
Contract & Supplier Management
Lead commercial negotiations for MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and other supplier agreements in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders Manage contract utilization, renewal calendars, executed agreement repositories, and compliance with agreed commercial terms Drive supplier rationalization and consolidation strategies across NAM, EMEA, and APAC to optimize global spend and strengthen the preferred supplier base
Supplier Performance & Stakeholder Leadership
Manage strategic supplier relationships, monitor KPIs, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews and high-level commercial escalations Build strong relationships with global business leaders, Finance, FP&A, Legal, and regional commercial teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives Lead procurement projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and business objectives are achieved
Governance, Analytics & Operational Excellence
Increase managed spend by ensuring purchases are supported by valid contracts and approved sourcing processes Drive payment-term standardization and working capital initiatives in alignment with global procurement strategies Develop spend analysis, category dashboards, market trend assessments, and savings pipeline reporting to support leadership decisions Ensure adherence to procurement governance, internal controls, global compliance policies, and SOX audit requirements
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field 10–13 years of core experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Vendor Commercial Sourcing Proven experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar RFPs and multi-regional sourcing programs across global markets Strong expertise in commercial negotiations, supplier management, cost optimization, payment terms, and contract lifecycle management Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets, including Macros, Pivot Tables, and Data Models; experience with Smartsheet and e-RFP platforms is preferred Strong experience with spend analysis, category benchmarking, data modeling, and developing sourcing strategies from business data Experience working with SAP/ERP systems and contract lifecycle management tools; knowledge of procurement technology platforms is an advantage Exceptional negotiation, influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior and VP-level stakeholders without direct authority Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strategic mindset with a proven focus on delivering measurable results
