As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and optimization of components across our gas power portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to deliver high-quality solutions, drive product upgrades, and ensure our designs meet rigorous performance and safety standards. This role requires a balance of technical ownership, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for Airfoil components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems.Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability, quality, and yield. Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and drive innovation.Project Delivery: Manage milestones through formal/informal technical reviews, ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices.Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers.

What You’ll Bring - Basic Qualifications

Master’s or bachelor’s in engineering with specialization in Mechanical, Design and Applied MechanicsMinimum of 4 years of Engineering experience.
