Role OverviewWe are hiring for a Senior Software Engineer – Backend who will be responsible for building high-performance APIs, scalable microservices, and robust infrastructure powering our audio platform.This is a high-ownership role that requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a mindset to work in a fast-paced product environment.About the roleWe're looking for a Lead Android Engineer to own our mobile platform, lead a team ofengineers, and set the technical direction for our Android app. You'll work closely with product,design, and backend teams to ship impactful, polished experiences to millions of users.
What you'll do• Architect and own the Android codebase — setting standards for quality, scalability, andperformance• Lead end-to-end feature delivery from scoping to Play Store release• Mentor and grow a team of Android engineers through code reviews and technicalguidance• Drive the mobile engineering roadmap and contribute to quarterly planning• Champion best practices: CI/CD, testing, crash monitoring, and performance profiling• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and AI-assisted tooling to boost team velocity
What we're looking for• 6–10 years of professional Android engineering experience• Expert-level Kotlin — coroutines, flows, sealed classes, extension functions• Deep, production-proven Jetpack Compose expertise (this is a core requirement)• Strong View system / XML layout knowledge for legacy interoperability• Solid experience with MVVM, MVI, or other structured architecture patterns; familiaritywith Clean Architecture• Experience with RESTful APIs, Retrofit, OkHttp, and networking best practices• Proven track record of leading or mentoring an Android team• Proficiency with Android Studio profilers, debugging tools, and Play Store releasemanagement
GenAI & modern tooling
