Position Summary

Maintenance Engineer will work with manufacturing support for equipment performance and maintenance. This role will support continuous improvement initiatives and support the installation and validation of tools and equipment. This person will work closely with the engineering team to execute all equipment-related activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities

This position is part of the Engineering Function and will be in Bengaluru. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Hands-on experience in the Manufacturing Engineering Department and will be the primary support to production in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing equipment downtime to ensure maximum output.You will work closely with Production and Engineering to monitor equipment status and performance.Lead initiatives to proactively identify and resolve problems using suitable troubleshooting and repair methods.Be accountable for the accurate execution and documentation of all repairs and adjustments made to equipment and tools.In addition, you will assess the equipment’s performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades as appropriate.Creating maintenance procedures and reports.Lead, supervise, and delegate tasks to maintenance technicians while ensuring effective training, guidance, and performance management through structured evaluations.Execute installations of instruments/equipment and documentation as per requirement

Training Responsibilities: (REQUIRED)

Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on timeResponsible for driving assemblers’ engagement and for developing DBS, Lean and Six Sigma capabilities through coaching and mentoringProvide and facilitate training to Manufacturing personnel and peers in equipment processes, validations, instructions, quality requirements, upgrades, or changes

Minimum Requirements

Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineeringExperience: 4 - 5 years of Experience in Automation equipment MaintenanceSkills:Proficiency in CMMS, PLM,Knowledge of Automation, PLCsKnowledge of working with MS Office, MS ExcelKnowledge of pneumatics actuators and cylindersFamiliarity with electrical/electronic components, automation, robotics, sensors, fiber optics, and motors

Minimum Requirements For Competent Technical Staff

Must have a solid understanding of interpreting manuals and schematics and have a strong knowledge of mechanical alignment and the troubleshooting of automated mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipmentKnowledge of MTTR, MTBF, MTTF, Autonomous, Predictive, Corrective & Preventive MaintenanceExperience working in a regulated work environment (ISO, GMP, and Medical Device 9001,14001,13485)
