Jewellery Design LeadTeam: Jewellery DesignReports to: Head of Jewellery DesignManages: A small team of jewelry designers (player-coach — hands-on + leadership)Location: Bengaluru · on-siteType: Full-timeExperience: 8–12 years in fine / demi-fine / fashion jewelry design
About GIVAGIVA is one of India's fastest-growing demi-fine jewellery brands, built on authentic 925 sterling silver and a design-led, direct-to-consumer model spanning a fast-moving website and 300+ stores. We ship new collections at pace, for everyday self-expression and gifting alike — and design sits at the heart of how we win.
The roleAs Jewellery Design Lead, you own collections from first spark to shop floor. You translate trends and customer insight into distinctive, commercially sharp designs, take them through CAD and production-ready tech packs, and design deliberately to price points and sell-through data. You'll also mentor and raise the bar for a small team of designers — leading hands-on, not from a distance. You report to the Head of Jewellery Design and partner closely with merchandising, sourcing, and marketing.
What you'll doTrend & concept directionSpot emerging trends, cultural moments and customer signals, and turn them into collection concepts, mood boards and a coherent design language.Shape seasonal and festive stories (Diwali, Valentine's, wedding season and more) and pitch concepts that are both distinctive and on-brand.Help build ownable, signature GIVA design elements that are hard for competitors to copy.Design & CAD to productionTake designs from sketch through CAD (Rhino / Matrix or equivalent), rendering and prototyping to final, production-ready tech packs with complete specs.Own design accuracy and detail — stones, settings, finishes, weights and tolerances — so what ships matches the intent.Drive sampling discipline: fewer iterations, faster concept-to-launch, and clean handoffs to sourcing and vendors.Merchandising & dataDesign to defined price points and margin targets within our fine jewellery range.Use bestseller logic and sell-through data to decide what to design more of, refine, or retire — closing the loop between design and performance.Balance hero/statement pieces with everyday, high-repeat SKUs across each collection.Lead the teamMentor and review the work of a small team of designers, setting quality standards and giving sharp, constructive feedback.Manage the collection calendar and workload so launches land on time, and represent design in cross-functional planning. What you'll bring8–12 years designing fine, demi-fine or fashion jewellery, with a portfolio of shipped collections you can walk us through.Strong hands-on CAD skills (Rhino / Matrix / equivalent) and fluency in creating production-ready tech packs.A real trend eye — you can read where the market is going and translate it into commercial, wearable design.Commercial instinct: comfortable designing to price points and reading sell-through / bestseller data to guide decisions.Sound grasp of materials, manufacturing and finishing (silver / demi-fine an advantage) and how design choices drive cost and quality.Experience mentoring or leading designers, with the judgement to lead hands-on while raising the team's bar.Fast, organised and collaborative — able to run multiple collections against a tight launch calendar.Nice to haveExperience in a D2C / high-velocity retail environment; exposure to personalisation, charms, or modular jewellery systems; and comfort working closely with merchandising and marketing.
What success looks like in 6–12 monthsYou'll know it's working when...Collections ship on time, on-brand, and to their price and margin targets.Concept-to-launch is faster and sampling iterations are down.A recognisable GIVA design signature is emerging across the range.Your designers are visibly growing, and design is a trusted partner to merchandising and marketing. To applyTo apply, share your CV and a portfolio of shipped collections (with your specific contribution noted).
