Full job description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using Java and modern frontend frameworks.

Build secure and high-performance RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.

Develop responsive and user-friendly UI components using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js .

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive user interfaces.

Design and optimise relational and NoSQL databases.

Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services.

Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across both frontend and backend.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture and design discussions.

Optimise application performance, scalability, and security.

Implement authentication and authorisation using Spring Security, JWT, or OAuth.

Work with DevOps teams to automate deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Monitor application performance and resolve production issues.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the application architecture.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17).

Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.

Frontend development using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js .

Proficiency in HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.

Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, NgRx).

Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB.

Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA for ORM.

Experience with Maven or Gradle for build management.

Version control using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.

Testing experience using JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

API testing using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
