Job description: IP Executive / IP Analyst (3–5 Years)

Location: HO (Bangalore)

We are looking for a passionate and analytical IP Executive / IP Analyst to strengthen our Intellectual Property function by supporting patent searches, patent analytics, competitive intelligence, patent prosecution, and portfolio management activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with R&D, engineering, and business teams to protect and leverage cutting- edge innovations in electric mobility and related technologies.

What You'll Do

 Conduct prior art, patentability, novelty, invalidation, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches.

 Perform patent landscaping, technology trend analysis, white-space analysis, and competitor

benchmarking.

 Monitor competitor patent filings and prepare competitive intelligence reports.

 Support patent prosecution activities by coordinating with inventors, patent attorneys, and patent

offices.

 Manage patent portfolio databases, filing records, deadlines, and prosecution status tracking.

 Generate IP analytics reports and insights to support technology and business decision-making.

 Analyse global patent portfolios and identify opportunities, risks, and emerging technology trends.

 Support IP due diligence, licensing, and technology transfer initiatives when required.

 Maintain IP records and ensure timely documentation and reporting.

 Contribute to innovation awareness and IP culture-building initiatives across the organization.

What You Bring

 Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics,

Computer Science, or related Engineering disciplines.

 3–5 years of experience in Intellectual Property, patent analytics, patent research, or related functions.

 Strong experience in patent searching, patent analytics, and technology intelligence.

 Working knowledge of patent databases such as PatSnap, Orbit, Derwent, Espacenet, Google Patents,

Questel, or similar tools.

 Understanding of Indian and international patent systems, including PCT filings.

 Strong analytical, research, communication, and report-writing skills.

 Experience in EV, battery technology, power electronics, software, embedded systems, or automotive

technologies is preferred.

 Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
