Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
HR Business Partnering (Strategic)Act as a trusted HR advisor to plant leadership and functional headsTranslate business and production goals into people strategiesDrive organizational effectiveness, workforce productivity, and culture alignmentSupport change management initiatives linked to expansion, automation, or scale-up Headcount Planning & Talent ManagementOwn manpower planning, budgeting, and workforce optimization for the factoryEnsure right capability and skill availability across shifts and linesPartner with TA teams to fulfill hiring needs (permanent and contract workforce)Support succession planning for critical factory roles Performance Management & Capability DevelopmentDrive end-to-end performance review processes for factory employeesSupport managers in goal setting, reviews, and performance differentiationDesign and deploy capability-building interventions for shop-floor and supervisory talentStrengthen people-leader skills and frontline leadership effectiveness Employee Relations & Statutory ComplianceLead employee relations for the factory with a proactive, preventive approachEnsure full compliance with: Factories Act Industrial Disputes Act Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages & Wage CodeIndependently liaise with: Labour inspectors Statutory auditors Government authoritiesHandle investigations, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution when required Employee Engagement & Factory Culture BuildingDrive engagement initiatives tailored for a factory environmentStrengthen communication, trust, discipline, and inclusion on the shop floorSupport leadership in fostering a high-performance, safety-first, and respectful cultureTrack engagement indicators and implement corrective actions Operations & HR SystemsEnsure strong execution of core HR operations including attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and contractor managementImprove HR process efficiency through system adoption and standardizationMaintain accurate employee and compliance recordsPartner with COEs and shared services to ensure seamless HR delivery
Key Competencies
Strong understanding of manufacturing HR and industrial relationsHigh credibility with plant leadership and workforceHands-on, detail-driven, yet strategic in thinkingAbility to operate independently in a complex factory settingStrong stakeholder management and decision-making skills
Educational Background
Engineer by qualification (preferred), with strong manufacturing exposureMBA / MSW / Postgraduate degree in: Human Resources Industrial Relations Labour Studies
Experience
8–10 years of relevant HR experienceExposure to medium to large-scale manufacturing plants, preferably in electronics manufacturing
Strong hands-on experience in factory HR and industrial relations is preferred.
