The role focuses on creating a safe working environment, minimizing workplace risks, preventing incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety ManagementDevelop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards.Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.Monitor and report HSE performance metrics and trends.Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans.Promote employee awareness of health and safety requirements.Environmental ManagementEnsure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.Monitor waste management, emissions, energy consumption, and environmental impacts.Implement environmental sustainability initiatives.Conduct environmental audits and assessments.Maintain records and reports required by regulatory authorities.Training & AwarenessDevelop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.Conduct safety inductions for new employees.Organize safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.Foster a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.Audit & CompliancePlan and conduct internal HSE audits.Coordinate external audits and inspections.Track and close corrective and preventive actions.Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with department managers to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.Liaise with regulatory authorities, customers, and external auditors.Support leadership in achieving HSE objectives and targets.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.Professional certifications as applicable to HSE.Knowledge of applicable HSE regulations and standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting systems.Required SkillsRisk assessment and hazard identification.Incident investigation and root cause analysis.Safety auditing and compliance management.Leadership and team management.Excellent communication and training skills.Problem-solving and analytical thinking.Report writing and presentation skills.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Monitor HSE Training compliance and ensure trainings completed on time.Gemba participation track.Employee participation rate in HSE topicNumber of safety observations completed.Audit compliance score.Closure rate of corrective actions.Environmental compliance and waste reduction targets.Employee safety training completion rate.Preferred ExperienceExperience managing HSE programs in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, engineering, or industrial operations.Experience leading safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives.Exposure to regulatory audits and customer compliance requirements.
