Garena is hiring a Government Relations Lead to strengthen its engagement with India’s public-sector ecosystem and support the sustainable growth of Garena’s game offering. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact to lead the external engagement with government bodies, authorities, and public sector stakeholders associated with the digital entertainment and gaming ecosystem.

Job Description

Develop and maintain relationships with government bodies, regulators, and public/industry associations; represent the company in these engagements.Lead engagement with government authorities on matters relevant to Garena's game offerings.Monitor policy, legislative, and regulatory developments relevant to online gaming, digital platforms, content governance, data protection, cybersecurity, and youth safety.Serve as the key internal adviser on government-relations strategy and related external communications.Coordinate closely with Marketing, Legal, Product, and Operations to shape locally relevant programmes and ensure alignment on public-affairs positions.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in public policy, law, political science, communications, or a related field.8+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, public affairs, or strategic communications.Strong understanding of India's central and state government landscape, particularly as it relates to technology, media, or gaming.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and manage complex relationships.Willingness and ability to travel frequently within India.
